Scope of the Program
A limited number of fellowships for international guest junior scientists at the graduate and postdoctoral level is available at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology (MOPH) (Guest Program).
An orientation fellowship gives international university graduates with an academic degree the opportunity to spend a transitional qualification phase of up to 6 months at the Institute and become familiar with its research scopes and methods.
Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers can be awarded for a maximum duration of 2 years. The projects will be in line with the general research focus of the Institute.
Fellowships will be awarded to proposed candidates only. Directors and Research Group Leaders at the Institute are entitled to propose candidates to the Grant Committee for selection.
Guests holding an MPS fellowship have to buy a private insurance package (including health, accident, and personal liability insurance). Proof of an existing insurance package is mandatory for the disbursement of fellowships.
Further information on the Institute and its research focus can be found on the websites of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology and the Max Planck Research School in Chemical and Molecular Biology: www.mpi-dortmund.mpg.de or www.imprs-cmb.mpg.de.
