June 18, 2025

During a ceremony at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology in Dortmund, 101 high school graduates were awarded the Karl von Frisch Prize by the VBIO. The high school graduates and their accompanying persons were welcomed by Margarete Rademacher (Chairwoman of LV-NRW im VBIO). They were then given an insight into the science of the MPI. The two doctoral students Nikolas Klinkd and Alicia Peschel reported on their careers from their bachelor's and master's degrees to the selection of their doctoral thesis topics. After the certificates and prize bags with a book gift were handed out, Klaus Gerwert, Professor at the Ruhr University Bochum, gave the keynote speech on the topic ‘Biophysics and early detection of Alzheimer's disease: is that possible?’

We congratulate all the prize winners on receiving the award and wish them all the best for their future!

Wir gratulieren allen Preisträgerinnen herzlich zum Erhalt des Preises und wünschen Ihnen für Ihre Zukunft alles Gute!
