Facility Management
The primary tasks of the Facility Management Unit are maintenance and repair of the Institute building and the planning and coordination of building extensions and conversions, so that the labs and research facilities of the Institute can continually be adapted to fulfil the changing requirements of science.
Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection
Great importance is attached to health and safety at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology. The facimility management is specialized in advising scientists and technical staff members competently and comprehensively about the safe operation and handling of machines and equipment, dangerous substances, ionising and non-ionising rays and biological materials.
