Christos Gatsogiannis receives W3 professorship at the WWU Münster

September 01, 2020
Dr. Christos Gatsogiannis, Project Group Leader in the Department of Structural Biochemistry at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology (MPI), became professor  for electron tomography of nanostructured systems at the new "Center for Soft Nanoscience" at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. During his time at the MPI he has contributed significantly to the structure elucidation of many biomedically relevant biomolecules such as bacterial toxins.

“After ten years of scientific adventures and so many memories I say goodbye with mixed emotions. It was a privilege to work here and I am very grateful for all the great support from all areas, such as the IT services, the administration, the facility management, the scientific services and many more. Thanks to the great support of my mentor, my colleagues and my amazing team, I was able to push my projects and develop scientifically. I am now looking forward with great anticipation to pursue the next step in my scientific journey. The MPI will nevertheless have a good friend at the University of Münster”, Christos says goodbye to the MPI Dortmund.

We wish Christos all the best in Münster and lots of success in his scientific career.
